A virtual team indicates a team that has the team members from the different geographic locations and the team uses the different collaborative technologies to complete their tasks. Currently, as the technologies are easily available around the world, many virtual teams are being developed each year. But, it can be found that all the virtual teams are not equally successful and many times the organizations compel to shut down their virtual team due to the lack of quality output. Some of the reasons behind the failure of a virtual team are the underuse of the inputs, mismatched between the supply and demand of the inputs and the lack of expertise in the virtual team.
